Practical AI for busy businesses.
Built to hold up in production.
In 75 minutes you learn exactly which AI work would pay for your business, what it costs, and what to say no to.
The AI Decision Call is one 75-minute video call with the person who would do the work, on your own workflow, on screenshare. The next morning you get a one-page memo you can hand to anyone. Calls are booked in your local hours.
From a new email to a finished, logged job
The market has two extremes. We sit in the middle.
Why ordinary, ambitious businesses get burned by both the corporate consultancies and the online prompt sellers.
Big firms and grant agencies
- ✕ Prices that start in the tens of thousands, after six months of slide decks
- ✕ Endless grant paperwork and box-ticking
- ✕ Junior staff learning the job on your time
- ✕ Committees that meet for months and ship nothing
Senior work, without the corporate wrapper
- ✓ You deal directly with the person who would do the work
- ✓ One 75-minute call, one price, the memo the next morning
- ✓ A plain answer on what to do first and what to refuse
- ✓ No contract, no lock-in, nothing to cancel afterwards
AI gurus and template sellers
- ✕ Selling prompt packs and PDFs instead of working software
- ✕ Automation that falls over the first time something is unusual
- ✕ Nobody checking what happens when it goes wrong
- ✕ Gone the moment it is running
One workflow, priced properly, in one sitting
AI does not fail because it is stupid. It fails because nobody priced the work before buying it. The call is where one workflow gets named, costed and either blessed or killed.
Show the work
You share your screen and walk the one process that eats the most hours: the tools you pay for, the spreadsheet nobody else can edit, the chasing.
Get it costed
Each candidate task gets a verdict: do first, do later, do not do. Every verdict carries the tool or build behind it and an honest cost band. Off-the-shelf software counts as an answer.
Leave with the memo
Within 24 hours you have the one-page memo and the recording. Do it yourself, hand it to anyone you hire, or ask for the top item to be built.
Is your business ready for AI agents?
Tick each statement that is true right now. No email required, nothing is submitted.
Three shapes of the same problem
Representative engagements, not named clients. All twelve are on the work page, with the honest section left in.
Tell me what your team retypes every week
Bring one messy process to the call. If the honest answer is that you do not need AI for it, that is what you will hear — and the fee still buys you the written memo either way.
The AI Decision Call is a working session, not a sales pitch
In 75 minutes you learn exactly which AI work would pay for your business, what it costs, and what to say no to.
You show me the one workflow that eats your week, live on screenshare: quotes, inbox, scheduling, paperwork. I tell you whether AI fixes it, what tool or build fixes it, and what it should cost. You get the recording and a one-page memo the next day with the ranked list, so you can hand it to anyone you hire.
How the session runs
You describe the business and the workflow. I map it, and I ask only about what your written answers left unclear.
You share your screen and walk the process live: the inbox, the quoting tool, the spreadsheet nobody else is allowed to edit. I look for the step where the hours actually die.
Each candidate task gets a verdict and a cost band. Buy, build, or leave it alone. If an off-the-shelf tool solves it for a small monthly fee, I will say so and we stop there.
The one thing worth doing first: which tool or build, who does it, what it costs, how long. The last five minutes are you saying your next action back to me.
The deliverable, in full
- ✓75 minutes live with the founder, on your workflow, on screenshare — not a webinar, not a junior, not a sales call.
- ✓The full recording, yours to keep and share inside your business.
- ✓A one-page memo within 24 hours: the ranked list (do first / do later / do not do), the tool or build behind each line, and an honest cost band for each.
- ✓A "don't do this" list: the projects and subscriptions that would waste your money, named specifically.
- ✓The exact next step: do it yourself, hand the memo to anyone you hire, or ask for the top item to be built — your choice, no follow-up pitch unless you ask.
What the one-page memo contains
The memo is written the same way every time, and it is written so that a second person can read it cold. That matters, because the person who forwards it is usually the person who was not on the call.
- ✓The verdict, in two or three sentences. What to do, in plain words, naming the first item and what it should cost.
- ✓Do first / do later / do not do. Five to eight lines, each one a task with the tool or build behind it and an honest cost band.
- ✓At least two "do not do" lines. A memo with no kills reads like a quote rather than advice.
- ✓What it costs. The subscriptions named with monthly figures, the build band for the top item, and the credit line for the fee.
- ✓The next step. One action and who does it. No urgency, no discount, and no second email unless you ask for one.
Short sentences. Numbers where numbers exist, and "I do not know" where they do not.
The only next step is the call itself
Ten written answers, then a slot. The answers are read before we speak, and the payment link follows.
Twelve representative engagements
Each example follows the same six sections: the problem, what we did, how it runs, what changed, what we are honest about, and where it stands today. The honest section is not decoration: it is the part that tells you whether the shape matches your situation.
Case studies are anonymised composites of representative engagements. Outcomes as measured during each engagement.

Disclosure
I am an Irish software engineer. I build AI systems that do real work, for a small number of clients at a time.
Objentic is not an agency with a sales layer. When you book a call you are talking to the person who will write the code, sit in the exception review, and hand you the rulebook at the end. That is the whole model, and it is the reason the price is what it is.
There is no city-centre office, no business-development team and no junior analysts billing at senior rates. You pay for senior time and nothing else. Meetings happen on video, the work happens in files you own, and the written record is better than it would be if we were all in one room.
What I am actually good at
- ✓Extracting how a business really runs from the people who run it, and writing that down so software can follow it.
- ✓Building the unglamorous middle: reading documents, sorting out the odd cases, approval steps and a clear record of who did what.
- ✓Knowing when the right answer is off-the-shelf software and saying so before anyone pays for a build.
What I am not
- ✕A research lab. I do not do novel model training or custom fine-tuning.
- ✕A design studio. Anything built will be functional and plain, and it will not win an award.
- ✕A body shop. I do not supply people by the day to sit in someone else's team.
- ✕A grant consultancy. I do not fill in funding paperwork, and I will not shape a project around one.
The honesty rule
The most valuable thing I sell is a straight answer. That means telling a client their chatbot idea is the wrong project, refusing to automate a decision that carries legal or financial weight, and putting the awkward section into every worked example on this site. A practice that cannot say no is a practice that will build you something you do not need.
One example of that is public: the financial advice firm that came to us for a client-facing chatbot and left with a scheduler, a fixed phone menu and one small internal bot. Nothing was built on the original scope. That engagement is written up in full on the work page.
The memo is written so that you, or anyone you hire, can act on it without me. If you have an engineer in-house, they can take it from there, and that is a success rather than a churn risk.
What we refuse to automate
- ✕Any interpretation of ambiguous financial or legal information.
- ✕Handwritten and photographed forms, which go to a person by design.
- ✕Decisions about an individual's money, health or employment status.
- ✕Client-facing language sent with no human reading it first.
- ✕Where there is no clean way to connect to a system, I will say so rather than pretend the connection is free.
Each refusal is written into the rules as a hard boundary, so it survives staff changes on both sides.
Senior only
One engineer, on every call and every piece of work. No handover to a delivery team after the contract is signed.
Client-owned
The memo, the recording and anything built for you belong to you from day one. There is nothing left to keep paying for.
Honest by default
Including the engagements where the right answer was to build nothing at all.
How the engagement actually runs
The boring questions that decide whether a booking feels calm or chaotic: when we meet, what you need to bring, what it costs, what happens if you have to move it, and what I do with your information.
Morning and early afternoon slots
Weekday mornings and early afternoon, 09:00 – 14:00.
- ✓The ten written answers, completed before the slot is confirmed.
- ✓One process, described honestly, and the person who runs it if they can attend.
- ✓A screen you can share when we look at the workflow together.
- ✓Whoever has to agree with the decision, on the call or told about it afterwards.
- ✓Nothing technical. No engineer, no preparation, no documents to send beforehand.
- ✓The fee is paid in full before the slot is confirmed.
- ✓One free reschedule up to 48 hours before the call. A no-show forfeits the fee.
- ✓If the memo misses the point you briefed, tell me within 48 hours and I re-cut it once. If it is still wrong, half the fee comes back and you keep the memo and the recording.
- ✓100% of the fee is credited against an implementation invoice raised within 60 days.
- ✓The call is recorded for your deliverable. I ask before we start; if anyone on your side objects, the call runs unrecorded and the memo still arrives.
- ✓Intellectual property. The memo and the recording are yours. Share them inside your business, hand them to any builder, quote them in procurement.
- ✓Access. Logins stay in your accounts, and we ask for the least access that gets the job done. Nothing is granted by default.
- ✓Model providers. If a build ever sends your data to an AI company, I tell you which one plainly and keep regulated data out of anyone else's training.
- ✓Access removal. Any login you give me for the call is removed when we are done, and I will do it while you watch.
- ✓Confidentiality. I do not share your numbers, your screen or your memo. One person sees them: me. No staff, no subcontractors, and nothing of yours used to train anything.
No. You need someone who knows how the process actually works. If you have an internal engineer, this goes faster, but it is not a requirement.
It replaces the copying, chasing and re-keying. In every engagement so far the headcount answer has been to avoid a hire rather than to make one. The judgement calls stay with your team, because that is where they belong.
A free 30-minute call at a traditional agency is a sales pitch, run by a salesperson. This is 75 minutes of real work with the person who would do the work, and a one-page memo within 24 hours. The fee is €450 ex tax, paid in full before the slot is confirmed, and 100% of it is credited against an implementation invoice raised within 60 days. You can move the booking once for free up to 48 hours before it starts, and a no-show forfeits the fee. Either way, the recording and the memo are yours to keep.
Live calls run 09:00–14:00, and you book them in your own local hours.
Then the mess is the subject of the call rather than a problem to fix first. Walking it on screenshare is how the real bottleneck shows up, and it is what makes the memo worth having. Most calls find that the process people describe and the process people run are two different things.
Then that is what the memo says, and it is still the deliverable you paid for. You keep the recording, the ranked list and the do-not-do list. If your problem is not an AI problem at all, I will say so on the call and write it in the memo. The fee stands, because you bought the verdict rather than a yes.
Not before we have spoken. I do not sign NDAs, vendor packs or security questionnaires for a 75-minute call: an hour of paid advice cannot carry an hour of legal review, and that is the honest economics. The invoicing entity, its registration number and its tax details are on your invoice, and I will confirm them in writing before you pay anything. If you ever ask for a build, a short mutual agreement limited to that build is negotiable and priced into the quote.
What you are agreeing to when you book
One page, plain words, and the same in every market. Prices are quoted ex tax, in the currency of your market.
Paying, and when the slot is yours
The fee is paid in full before the slot is confirmed. Nothing is charged on this site: you send your ten answers, I read them, and a payment link follows by email. The time is confirmed when the payment clears, and you get the calendar invite then. There is no invoicing afterwards, so an accounts department that needs thirty days is not something this call can work with.
Moving or cancelling before the call
One reschedule is free with 48 hours' notice or more. Inside 48 hours the fee moves with the booking once, and a second move forfeits it. A no-show without notice forfeits the fee. If the answers you send show that this call is the wrong fit, I cancel and refund you in full the same day. If I have to move the call, you choose: the nearest time that suits you, or a full refund.
After the call
The hour is the product, so the full fee is not refunded after the call happened. If the memo misses the point you briefed, tell me within 48 hours and I re-cut it once. If it is still wrong, half the fee comes back and you keep the memo and the recording. A full refund after the call applies only where I failed to turn up or failed to deliver the memo.
Recording and confidentiality
The call is recorded for your deliverable, and I ask before we start. If anyone on your side objects, we run unrecorded and the memo still arrives. Your numbers, your screen and your memo are seen by one person, me: no staff, no subcontractors, and nothing of yours used to train anything. Any files you forward me are deleted 30 days after handover.
What you can do with the memo
The memo and the recording are yours. Share them inside your business, hand them to any builder or adviser you hire, and quote them in procurement. Please do not post the recording publicly without asking: short quotes from the memo are fine with attribution. I keep the right to describe anonymised patterns in general terms unless you ask me not to on the call.
When the answer is no
Sometimes the honest answer is that you should not spend anything. You still get the recording, the memo and the do-not-do list, and the fee stands: what you paid for was the verdict, not a yes. If your problem turns out not to be an AI problem at all, I say so on the call and write it in the memo.
100% of the fee is credited against an implementation invoice raised within 60 days. These are commercial terms rather than legal advice; the invoicing entity and its registration details appear on your receipt.

Book the AI Decision Call
In 75 minutes you learn exactly which AI work would pay for your business, what it costs, and what to say no to.
Pick a day and a session time below. Before the slot is confirmed I ask ten short written questions: the same ten on every booking. I read them before we speak, and they are what make the 75 minutes worth paying for. A payment link follows by email, and your slot is confirmed when the payment clears.
Pick your preferred day and time
All ten are required. Short answers are fine. If your answers show this call is the wrong fit, I cancel the booking and refund you in full rather than take your money.
